Models and Countries where by May 2017 I had identified surviving
Triumph Machines,
or parts thereof,
through to the end of the original Triumph Cycle Company.
These are the surviving 1901 to 1936 Triumph motorcycles which I know of and the
counties where I last knew them to be. With Triumph's extensive sales throughout
the world most will have been originally exported there, but there have also been
more recent sales across countries. (Those recorded as the Netherlands were most
probably not so originally but were passing through the dealers 'Yesterdays'.
Likewise, early models were originally prohibated from being imported into the
USA for the protection of their own manufacturers.)
These records show how strong were Triumph's exports, particularly to
Australia and New Zealand.
(The Models - Modellen - T1 and T2 were from the Triumph Worke Nurnberg
which used Coventry Model SD engines, while the T3 used late Model N engines and
the T4 the Model CN engine, with the TO having a Model CO ohv engine.)
(The Tiger models are the early 1936 models with the double down-tube frames,
engine and frame numbers of the L2/1, 3/2 and 5/5 on which they were based.)
